In a startling turn of events, an elderly woman who had been declared dead at a hospital reportedly came back to life while being transported to her funeral.
The woman, who had been pronounced dead following a health decline, was moved from the mortuary to the Son Valenti funeral parlour in Palma, Majorca, for burial preparations. However, staff were left stunned when they noticed signs of life—first detecting a pulse, then observing her fingers move.
Paramedics were quickly called to the scene and confirmed that the woman was indeed alive. She was immediately rushed back to Juan March de Bunyola Hospital for emergency medical attention.
Her current condition has not yet been disclosed.
An internal investigation has been launched to determine how the premature death declaration occurred and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
