Prince Harry and his co-founder, Prince Seeiso, recently released a statement announcing that the relationship between Sentebale’s trustees and Dr. Sophie had broken down “beyond repair.” This prompted Dr. Sophie to accuse Prince Harry of “harassment and bullying on a large scale.”
Matt shared his perspective on the situation, saying, “Harry has met his match. He’s spent years criticizing the media, the British royal family, and the UK. But now he’s up against a credible, intelligent woman—an educated doctor and a successful individual—who is pushing back in a way that many people haven’t been able to.
“She has firsthand experience working with him, and she can clearly explain her side of the story, including what happened on the day the Netflix cameras were rolling. This really opens things up.”
He added, “I think he may have bitten off more than he can chew with her.”
Meanwhile, the Charity Commission has confirmed it has opened an inquiry into concerns raised about Sentebale.
In his statement, Harry expressed disappointment over the situation: “What has transpired over the last week has been heartbreaking, especially when such blatant lies harm those who have invested decades into this shared goal. No one suffers more than the beneficiaries of Sentebale itself.
“On behalf of the former trustees and patrons, we share in the relief that the Charity Commission will conduct a thorough inquiry, which we expect will reveal the truth that led to our resignations.”
