Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance over the Easter weekend, popping up in a joyful new photo with longtime friend and collaborator, Jake Rosenberg.
Jake, a New York-based director and photographer, shared the candid black-and-white selfie on his Instagram Stories Sunday. The snap shows the two grinning ear to ear during what appears to be a lively shoot day.
Meghan, 43, looked effortlessly chic in a casual button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Her signature dark hair was worn loose, and she leaned playfully on Jake’s shoulder, flashing a beaming smile.
Jake kept things simple in a long-sleeved jersey top, captioning the photo: “Always a beautiful day shooting with @meghan @aseverofficial.”
The creative duo go way back. Jake has collaborated with Meghan on multiple projects over the years, even attending her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. Earlier this year, he snapped a stunning beachside portrait of Meghan, which she later chose as her Instagram profile photo. Sharing that image to ring in the new year, Jake wrote: “Always love capturing these moments together — what a way to start the year!”
Following the recent launch of Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, she gave a heartfelt shoutout to the core team of creatives who have supported her journey — Jake included. In a behind-the-scenes post, she shared joyful photos of herself with makeup artist Daniel Martin, Jake, and Ryan Sax, founder of Made by Article.
“Before our launch for @aseverofficial tomorrow, I can’t go to sleep without giving a huge thanks to the fellas who have been with me on every creative endeavor for over a decade+,” Meghan wrote. “We know I love my girl squad, but these boys have been part of my team for what feels like forever. You’ve supported and believed in my creative vision since The Tig, and here we are all these years later creating magic in a different way.”
She wrapped the post with a touching note: “Thank you for being the best partners through thick and thin. My heart feels so full. Dream team.”
While Meghan has been more visible on social media lately, her last public appearance was on April 10, when she attended a performance of Gypsy at the Majestic Theatre in New York City. Clearly moved by the production, she later posted backstage photos and praised the cast on Instagram.
“If you get a chance to see @gypsybway, you absolutely must,” she wrote. “Congratulations to the tremendously talented cast and crew for creating magic on that stage.”
Meghan also shared a special moment meeting Broadway icon Audra McDonald for the first time. “Her performance will leave you absolutely speechless,” she gushed. “Full body chills. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house — and if the theater didn’t have to close, the standing ovation would still be going.”
