Sydney Sweeney is being slammed for her ‘inappropriate’ choice of dress to attend Glen Powell’s sister’s wedding over the weekend.
The 27-year-old actress, who ‘called off her wedding’ to fiancé Jonathan Davino, 41, slayed in a baby blue dress from V. Chapman which featured a corset-style bodice and ruffled maxi skirt.
Though the happy bride was all smiles in an Instagram Stories snap she posted of herself with the star, many fans have taken to social media to share their dismay at her choice of color and style for her wedding guest look.
One fan explained that they took issue with the light blue shade as they wrote: ‘Starting discourse but that is not an appropriate shade of blue for a wedding.’
Another agreed: ‘My good sis wore such a pale blue it almost looks white to a wedding? Shaking my head.’
‘LOVE Sydney but that dress is too light of a blue for a wedding,’ one fan lamented. ‘The number one [rule] of a wedding is DON’T WEAR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO WHITE.’
Another user on X, formerly Twitter, noted: ‘When the TikTok brides rant that this isn’t an appropriate shade of blue or dress for that matter.’
While one joked: ‘She’s a real one because most women are making Sydney change and/or leave.’
Some commenters think the plunging style of the dress which shows her famous cleavage is not good enough.
‘Girl that is not an appropriate DRESS for a wedding,’ one fan wrote.
