Six boys have been arrested after a teenage girl was rapëd in a field.
The 15-year-old girl was attacked close to the Roman wall and stream near Chichester between 7pm and 8.30pm on March 19.
The victim sought assistance from the public soon after the ‘horrific’ incident and reported it to the local police force.
So far, six teenage boys (our 16-year-olds and two 15-year-olds) – some of whom are known to the victim – have been arrested on suspicion of rapë.

However, police confirm all of the suspects have been released on bail until the end of June pending further investigations.
Specialist police officers have offered the victim support.
Detective Constable Gemma Mulloy said: ‘This was a horrific attack on a vulnerable victim and we recognise the concern this will cause in the community.
‘We swiftly arrested six suspects in connection with the incident, and we are now appealing for anyone with any information to please come forward, as we seek to establish the exact circumstances.’
