Queen Mary showcased a stunning family heirloom on her wrist while hosting a return dinner with King Frederik at Le Grand Hotel in Paris on Tuesday evening.
The Danish royals, who will wrap up their three-day state visit on Wednesday, welcomed over 300 guests for the return dinner following Monday’s gala with President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.
At 53, Mary looked elegant in a black semi-sheer coat dress by Italian designer Taller Marmo, embellished with golden embroidered flowers. She complemented her outfit with gold filigree earrings and wore Queen Louise of Sweden-Norway’s engagement bracelet.
This exquisite gold chain bracelet, adorned with a significant diamond and two smaller diamonds encircled by three diamond-studded rings, has a rich history of 175 years. It was originally gifted by King Karl XV of Sweden to his wife, Queen Louise, in 1850.
The bracelet is part of the jewellery collection held within the Danish Royal Property Trust, and Queen Mary first unveiled it during a New Year’s reception at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen earlier this January.
