Princess Eugenie melted hearts this Easter with an adorable new snapshot of her youngest son, Ernest. The touching moment was captured on the grounds of Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence of her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
In the photo, Eugenie, 35, is seen crouching beside the lake with little Ernest, showing him the ducks as they glide across the water.
Dressed in a vibrant sunshine-yellow Diane von Furstenberg dress—a favourite of the princess—Eugenie looked radiant as she shared this serene mother-son moment.
Ernest, who turns two next month, looked especially grown-up in a miniature navy suit and crisp white shirt—his Easter best for the occasion.
“Happy Easter to you and all your family,” Eugenie wrote in the Instagram caption. While Ernest stole the spotlight, absent from the photo were his big brother, August, 4, and father, Jack Brooksbank.
A Royal Family Affair
Earlier that day, Eugenie had stepped out with her husband Jack for the annual Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. She turned heads in an elegant white ensemble, topped with a netted hat, as she joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family for the traditional Matins service.
Also in attendance were her sister Princess Beatrice, who wore a stunning green coat dress, and Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. It was a notable family moment, particularly with Prince Andrew making his first public appearance since missing the Christmas Day walk in Sandringham.
Andrew’s attendance came amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding his past ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and more recent controversy involving alleged links to a Chinese spy. Though he stepped back from public duties in 2019, his presence at Windsor signaled a rare return to the spotlight.
Royals on the Move
Just a week earlier, Princess Eugenie was spotted enjoying the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix alongside sister Beatrice, cousin Zara Tindall, and Zara’s husband, Mike. The stylish royal opted for a chic forest green dress by Reformation, paired with white trainers, sunglasses, and a raffia bag.
Her brother-in-law Edoardo gave royal fans a sweet behind-the-scenes glimpse into Eugenie and Jack’s relationship, sharing a candid photo of the couple laughing together as they strolled along the track—proof that their bond remains as strong and joyful as ever.
