The King is set to welcome visitors to one of his royal residences in April, much to the delight of fans.
Sandringham House, the monarch’s Norfolk estate, has been closed for its winter break, but on April 5, it will open its doors to the public once again.
A post on Sandringham’s Instagram account marked the occasion with excitement, stating: “Just over one week until The House opens its doors. Step into royal history and discover the hidden gems of The Estate for yourself.”
Ticket holders will have the opportunity to explore the main eight ground-floor rooms of the house, as well as its expansive 60-acre garden.
The stunning interiors have remained largely unchanged since the Edwardian era and showcase a collection of art that includes Meissen porcelain, semi-precious stones, and Minton china.
Sandringham is notably where the royal family celebrates Christmas, with the King and Queen leading the family to the service at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the estate on Christmas morning.
Earlier in March, Charles provided a glimpse into the Saloon at Sandringham House while hosting audiences with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The interior features a cozy fireplace, patterned armchairs and rugs, antique furniture, and an array of family portraits from throughout the years.
