As someone who is perpetually curious about how the world’s wealthiest A-listers manage to age so gracefully, I was thrilled when Meghan Markle recently shared her list of favorite beauty products.
Scanning through it, I encountered a variety of luxurious items that are well outside my budget—perhaps one day I’ll splurge on an $80 hair oil, but today is not that day. So, you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that the Duchess herself uses the same viral TikTok lip mask that I do.
The product in question? Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry. While this glamorous balm isn’t exactly cheap (£15.75 at Boots), it’s certainly a more affordable indulgence.

Recently, I’ve been experiencing what I like to call a “wellness renaissance,” and as someone who has never been particularly focused on skincare, I didn’t know where to begin.
Naturally, I turned to TikTok to see what all the skincare enthusiasts were raving about. To my surprise, this pocket-sized pot kept coming up, compelling me to give it a try.

First Impressions
If I’m going to spend nearly £15 on a lip mask, I expect it to excel in every aspect. At first glance, I was impressed by the gorgeous ombre pink tub, which perfectly matched my chosen berry flavor.
As for the scent, I typically find overly sweet lip balms—a common choice for many brands—less appealing. However, this sweet berry fragrance won me over. It combines hints of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, and blueberry, creating a delightful aroma that complements the thick, creamy texture and soft pink color of the balm.
Does It Work?
When the product first arrived, I couldn’t shake the worry that I might have wasted my money on yet another overhyped item. However, I’m pleased to report that I haven’t stopped using it since!
Having always dealt with very dry lips, I usually shy away from glossy products, but after just one application, my lips transformed. You would hardly believe I’d been estranged from my Vaseline for years.
Now, I even wear it during the day, paired with my favorite lip liner, and I can’t believe how soft and nourished my lips feel.
Laneige also offers a daytime serum in a squeezy bottle, which I believe would be more suitable for my everyday makeup routine. But, c’est la vie—I’ll have to try it out and see if the results are just as impressive. For now, I find the petite squeezy tube to be much more makeup-bag-friendly when I’m on the go!
