Kelly Clarkson’s absence from her talk show on April 21 has sparked concern among her fans, marking the second time in recent weeks she has stepped away from hosting duties.

Earlier in March, Clarkson took a break for personal reasons, missing a total of 10 episodes. During her absence, other stars like Simu Liu and Brooke Shields stepped in to fill the role.

Fans Wonder About Her Absence

The latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show aired without the singer, and fans took to social media to express their worries after it was revealed that Andy Cohen would be hosting the episode. Cohen welcomed Idina Menzel, Mae Martin, and Johnny Swim on the show, but many viewers were disappointed.

“Was so looking forward to a chaotic Kelly & Idina reunion,” one fan commented, while another wrote, “I won’t watch without Kelly.” Other fans asked, “Kelly?” and “What’s going on with Kelly?” seeking answers about her sudden absence.

Previous Absence in March

In March, actor Simu Liu stepped in last-minute to host, explaining to the audience that Clarkson was unable to make it that day. “We’re sending her our very best,” Liu said at the time, adding, “I didn’t know I was doing this until about five minutes ago when I arrived to promote my new movie.”

Kelly’s Big Milestone

Despite these absences, Clarkson recently returned to celebrate a major milestone on the show: 1000 episodes. In an emotional speech, she reflected on the journey with her audience, saying, “We’ve created a community and supported each other through a lot of ups and downs. A lot of ups and downs personally as well.”

Clarkson also shared how much the show has meant to her over the years, adding, “We’ve laughed together, cried together with some beautiful stories, sang together, danced together… And along the way, we’ve found comfort with each other.”

A Busy Year Ahead

Kelly is also gearing up for her upcoming Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, set to begin on July 4, with 18 shows scheduled through November. In addition to the residency, she is releasing new music and launching her own record label, exciting fans and generating plenty of buzz.

While there’s been a lot of interest from artists hoping to join her label, Clarkson clarified in a recent podcast that she’s not signing anyone at the moment. “I just had to create something because I’m releasing my own stuff,” she explained. “It’s cool at 42 to completely run the ship… But I’m a single mom with two kids and a lot going on.”
