Nollywood actresses Eniola Badmus and Laide Bakare were involved in a heated public altercation during the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s new film, Owanbe Thieves, on Sunday.
The clash occurred on the dance floor when Laide Bakare attempted to record a video of herself with Eniola Badmus. The move was met with resistance from Badmus, who snapped, saying:
“Must I be in your video? Don’t film us together—we’re not friends.”
The tense exchange quickly escalated, as seen in a viral video circulating on social media. In response, Laide Bakare shoved Eniola Badmus and fired back in Yoruba:
“Shey werey ni e? Kini iru embarrassment yi? (Are you mad? What kind of embarrassment is this?)”
The confrontation stunned onlookers and has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and industry observers weighing in on the unexpected fallout between the two stars.
Eniola Badmus, who also serves as the Special Adviser on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has yet to publicly address the incident.
