Princess Isabella, the daughter of King Frederik and Queen Mary, is set to celebrate her 18th birthday on April 21, and an impressive budget has been allocated for her milestone festivities.
Aarhus Municipality has disclosed the projected costs for the birthday celebration at Aarhus City Hall, scheduled for April 11.
The event promises a fashion show, musical performances, and dance displays, highlighting the city’s young talents across various fields, including music, sports, culinary arts, and design.
Attendees will include the Danish royal family along with 100 young individuals from local youth organizations and educational programs.
The total expenditure for the event is a staggering 290,000 kroner (£32,542), with the largest portion of the budget—93,000 kroner (£10,441)—allocated for performers in the program. Catering and drinks for 300 guests will cost 63,000 kroner (£7,075), while an additional 25,000 kroner (£2,806) is earmarked for kitchen service and staffing, and 22,500 kroner (£2,524) for sound and security services.
Princess Isabella will also receive a birthday gift valued at 10,000 kroner (£1,122), but details of this present will remain under wraps until the celebration.
Following this event, Isabella can look forward to another celebration on April 15, featuring a special performance at the Royal Theatre. As she completes her final year of secondary school and prepares for graduation this summer, the Danish palace is expected to remain tight-lipped about her future plans until then.
