Charles Spencer shared his first joint message with his new partner, Cat Jarman, on Saturday morning. The message was posted alongside an emotional video from the MS Society, encouraging donations to the charity, which will be matched if made by Sunday, 27 April.
In the post on X, the ninth Earl Spencer wrote: “My partner @CatJarman and I are thrilled to support @mssocietyuk in their fundraising efforts this month. ‘Such a great cause’ doesn’t even begin to explain it—what they’re doing is vital for so many.”
This marks the first public message Charles has shared with Cat Jarman, whose MS diagnosis was revealed in December. Cat is currently in the midst of a lawsuit against Charles’ estranged wife, Countess Karen, over the misuse of private information.
Last month, new court documents reported by the Telegraph revealed that Cat and her children had endured significant distress due to the ongoing speculation surrounding the case. Cat also felt pressured to publicly disclose her MS diagnosis to address the “harmful gossip” circulating online.
In a December interview with MailOnline, Cat explained her decision to speak out, saying it was necessary to regain control over her personal medical information.
In response, Karen’s 11-page defence, which accuses Charles and Cat of an affair, includes details of Cat’s MS diagnosis. Karen claims that Charles voluntarily shared the diagnosis as part of explaining his wife’s behaviour, and that it was never considered a “secret.”
