Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has opened up about a life-threatening health scare and made explosive claims about a past relationship with a well-known Nigerian pastor.
In an emotional interview with Saturday Beats, the actress, speaking from a hospital bed, said she had a near-death experience that profoundly changed her.
“That story is exactly what happened to me, and I’m still lying in the hospital. Whatever is out there, I can’t add or remove anything. I died and found myself in heaven,” she claimed.
Ogala went on to allege that she had a long-standing romantic relationship with a prominent pastor (whose identity was withheld, as the claims remain unverified), dating back to 2017. According to her, the relationship was serious enough that she lived in his house and was known to his daughters and nephew.
“We had sex all over his house because he was my boyfriend at the time. He promised me marriage,” she said.
She added that after realizing he had no intentions of marrying her, she moved on and eventually got married. However, following problems in her marriage, she reconnected with the pastor, which led to a pregnancy that unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. Ogala claims she has evidence to back her claims, including pregnancy test results and chat records.
In another twist, the actress alleged that the same pastor once asked her to assist a prophet (also unnamed) who was being investigated over a missing child case. Following legal advice, she said she helped gather evidence that eventually cleared the prophet’s name.
To show gratitude, the prophet allegedly promised her ₦35 million, which he reportedly sent to the pastor. Ogala said the pastor gave her ₦20 million and kept the rest.
When she demanded the remaining money, she claimed things took a dark turn.
“His lawyer advised him to file a case at the National Cybercrime Centre, and I was harassed. Just five days before my brother’s burial, I was arrested again. I spent three days in detention before being taken to Abuja.”
Ogala said she is currently facing a criminal defamation case in court, as the pastor denies ever knowing her, insisting she was merely a member of his church—an assertion she vehemently denied.
“I was never his church member. I have pictures with his daughters. He even has my nude videos and once tried to blackmail me,” she alleged.
The actress says she is determined to tell her story and has vowed to see the legal battle through.
