The Duchess of Edinburgh stepped in for King Charles on Friday, taking on royal duties by inspecting the troops during a visit to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Sophie, 60, attended the Sovereign’s Parade—an event traditionally graced by a senior royal once every three parades, which are held three times a year. This marked her third time at the ceremony, having previously attended in 2013 and 2019.
The Duchess looked radiant for the occasion, donning an elegant cornflower blue coat dress with a sharp collar and a slim, waist-cinching belt. She completed the sophisticated look with a matching fascinator and a crocodile clutch in the same hue.
Her makeup was understated and natural, featuring fluttery lashes and a soft pink lip gloss.
Sophie’s presence at the parade is thought to be in honor of the all-female Banner Party featured in this year’s event.
King Charles was unable to attend due to a state visit to Italy with Queen Camilla. Following the tour, the royal couple flew directly to Scotland, where they privately celebrated their anniversary at Birkhall.
