Halle Berry turned the tables at the 2025 Academy Awards, playfully reenacting her famous 2003 Oscars kiss with Adrien Brody—this time, in front of his girlfriend and the media.
Brody’s original kiss with Berry, which took place when she presented him with his first Oscar for The Pianist, remains one of the most talked-about moments in Oscars’ history.
On Sunday night, Berry got her “payback” by surprising Brody on the red carpet while he was mid-interview. Dressed in a shimmering silver gown, she interrupted him and planted a kiss on his lips, much to the delight of the crowd.
In a viral video of the moment, Brody’s girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, was seen clapping and laughing along with onlookers.
Berry turned to Chapman with a playful smile, jokingly saying, “I’m sorry!”, adding to the lighthearted atmosphere.
