On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump revealed details of his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing the discussion about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict as “very good and productive.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that the two leaders had agreed to implement “an immediate ceasefire on all energy and infrastructure.”
They also committed to working swiftly towards a comprehensive ceasefire to bring an end to “this very horrible war.”
Trump asserted, “This war would never have started if I were President!”
He noted that they discussed various aspects of a potential peace agreement, highlighting the tragic loss of life among soldiers and the mutual desire from both President Putin and President Zelenskyy to see the conflict resolved.
“The process is now fully underway, and we are hopeful, for the sake of humanity, to accomplish this task!” the US President concluded.
