On Monday, March 24, U.S. President Donald Trump referred to those attacking Tesla vehicles as “terrorists” and promised that they would face serious repercussions.

During a cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump condemned the assaults while commending Elon Musk for his contributions to the administration. Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Trump credits for identifying theft, fraud, and waste within the federal government.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Trump expressed sympathy for Musk, noting that he “has been through a lot with this terrible situation.” He characterized Musk as “a patriot” and stated that the hostility directed towards the world’s richest man and his company was “unfair.”

Trump revealed that he had taken decisive action the previous week, resulting in the arrest of four individuals linked to the attacks.

“Elon has never asked me for anything. If he weren’t involved in this, he wouldn’t be facing these challenges,” Trump said.

He added, “They will face severe consequences. When you think about it, they really are terrorists—terrorists on a grand scale. I believe they are being financed by some people I know. Those individuals are in serious trouble,” Trump warned.
