Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has made a heartfelt appeal to her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, urging him to allow her husband’s body to be laid to rest.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was initially buried, but his body was exhumed the following day for further investigation.

Since then, his remains have remained in the mortuary as his father insists that he will not be reburied until a DNA test confirms the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam.

Taking to Instagram on March 12, Wunmi expressed her anguish, noting that 18 months have passed since her husband’s death, yet he still has not been buried.

She alleged that her father-in-law is keeping Mohbad’s body in the morgue not out of love or grief, but for the attention and financial benefits he continues to receive.

Her plea has reignited public concern over the unresolved family dispute, as many call for a dignified burial for the late artist.
