A toddler has been found wandering the streets alone while wearing just a nappy and holding a small ball.
The young boy was found by a member of the public in Newport just before 7am on Thursday.
They called the police, who attended the scene on Temple Street in the Pill Mill area.

Gwent Police said in an initial statement that they had taken the youngster into their care, while speaking with his parents to establish what has happened in what could be called parental neglect.
The force has since confirmed they have identified no criminal offences and the child has been returned to his parents’ care.
The toddler is believed to be around two or three-years-old.
Reports on social media claimed he was found wearing only nappies and holding a small ball, South Wales Argus reports.
It was also claimed he is non-verbal, the news outlet added.
