Princess Kate sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to British tennis star Jack Draper following his biggest career triumph. Draper secured victory at the Indian Wells final, defeating Denmark’s Holger Rune 6-2, 6-2.

Ahead of attending the St. Patrick’s Day parade at Wellington Barracks in London, Kate took to social media to celebrate Draper’s achievement, writing: “Congratulations, Jack. A fantastic performance. Well done.”

As of Monday, Draper has risen to No. 7 in the ATP singles rankings. The rising tennis star comes from a strong sporting background—his father, Roger Draper, is the former chief executive of Sport England and the Lawn Tennis Association, while his mother, Nicky Draper, was a junior British tennis champion.

Reflecting on his milestone, Jack told BBC Sport, “I’m incredibly happy and incredibly proud of my achievements this week.”

A devoted tennis fan, Kate has been the patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016. Despite undergoing cancer treatment, she attended the 2024 Wimbledon Men’s Final, where she was joined by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Matthews, to watch Carlos Alcaraz triumph over Novak Djokovic.

Dressed elegantly in a purple Safiyaa London dress, the Princess took her seat in the Royal Box on Centre Court, visibly moved as she received a standing ovation from the crowd.
