Prince Harry, 40, made an appearance at the One805 Rock for Responders benefit held at The Granada Theatre. The event aimed to raise funds for the mental wellness of first responders in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, as well as for musicians impacted by the fires.
During the concert, Harry engaged with first responders and group photos inside the elegant venue. He was also spotted signing a guitar that later sold at auction for £6,900, as reported by News Channel 3-12. Performances included acts from Hootie & the Blowfish, Kenny Loggins, and Macy Gray.
For the occasion, Harry looked sharp in a navy T-shirt paired with a textured blazer and dark trousers.
This is not Prince Harry’s first involvement in supporting wildfire victims. The Duke, who lives in Montecito with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, has previously made contributions through his Archewell Foundation and even opened his home to friends and family displaced by the fires.
Additionally, the couple volunteered in Pasadena alongside Chef Jose Andres’s World Central Kitchen. They also visited the Pasadena Rose Bowl to meet and express gratitude to Fire Chief Marrone and his team from the LA County Fire Department, as well as members of CalFire and the Pasadena Police Force. During this visit, they donated clothing, children’s items, and essential supplies to the main donation center.
The Palisades fire, which began on January 7, devastated more than 20,000 acres in the area north of Santa Monica, while the Eaton fire, which started on the same day, also caused significant destruction.
Harry’s outing in Santa Barbara follows the recent launch of Meghan’s new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” which premiered on March 4. Prior to its airing, Harry sweetly surprised Meghan with a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note from their family, which read, “Congratulations mumma!” and was signed by “Lili, Archie, and Papa.” The show’s release was originally scheduled for January but was postponed due to the LA wildfires.
“With Love, Meghan” is the fifth production released by the Sussexes through Netflix, part of their deal reportedly valued at around $100 million. Since signing with the streaming platform in 2020, they have produced the docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” “Live To Lead,” which highlighted global justice activists, “Heart of Invictus,” showcasing competitors training for the Games, and “Polo,” which offered a glimpse into the glamorous lives of polo players.
