At first, a school source attempted to blame students for playing a prank on the veteran teacher.
However, the teacher later admitted to education officials, “I clicked on something, and a website opened.”
He explained that he had been trying to access an online journal and had no intention of watching explicit content.
According to the school’s principal, Rudania Burkhanova, he was described as being “in shock” after the footage went viral.
Despite the school’s willingness to retain him due to his previously exemplary career, the teacher resigned immediately following backlash from parents.
Finding a replacement physics teacher will be difficult, a school source noted. The school emphasized that he had been “valued and respected” throughout his nearly 40-year tenure, describing the incident as an “accidental” broadcast.
The school has launched an internal review after the video spread on social media.
“A review is currently underway, and further comments will follow,” Burkhanova initially stated.
“I need to hear both sides: I have already spoken to the students and parents, and I will speak with the teacher. Only after hearing both sides will I make a decision. No comments yet.”
Meanwhile, authorities in Russia’s Bashkortostan region have launched an investigation, and the teacher’s laptop has been confiscated.
