Kanye West has taken to X to post troubling tweets concerning his former friends, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and their younger children.
The rapper has been vocal on the platform, making inflammatory statements and calling out several individuals. In a recent tweet, he made unfounded claims about Beyoncé’s less-publicized children, stating, “Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger kids? They’re ret*d. No, like literally.”
West then continued with a controversial rant about artificial insemination, making insensitive remarks about those with mental disabilities. He declared, “This is why artificial insemination is such a blessing. Having ret*d children is a choice,” evoking previous backlash he received for his comments about slavery being a “choice” in 2018.
Hours later, after facing backlash for targeting the Carter family, Kanye deleted the tweet but followed up with another post, further insulting the couple. He criticized Jay-Z and Beyoncé for distancing themselves from him, stating in all caps, “NOW JAY-Z AND BEYONCÉ ON THE OTHER END. FCK THOSE KON A*S N**GAS AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES.”
He later explained that he removed the initial tweet not out of remorse but due to concerns that his account might be suspended, saying, “Took it down like down syndrome. Get it.”
Kanye has had a contentious relationship with the famous couple for years. Once viewing Jay-Z as a “big brother,” he has repeatedly criticized him for perceived failures in their friendship. He also made mocking comments about their marriage in a 2022 interview with Candace Owens, suggesting that Leonardo should let Jay-Z “go get some p**sy, serious,” and jokingly suggested he visit the Dominican Republic.
In 2016, Kanye claimed in a video that Jay-Z would send “shooters” his way and expressed frustration that Jay-Z had not checked in on him. “Please don’t send them at my head,” he pleaded. “Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”
