The Jordanian royal family came together to celebrate the beginning of Ramadan with a heartfelt family gathering. Queen Rania, 54, and her daughter-in-law, Princess Rajwa, 30, made a dazzling appearance at the special event, marking the start of the holy month.
On Monday, Queen Rania shared a touching video on Instagram in a joint post with the Royal Hashemite Court, offering fans a rare glimpse into the intimate celebration. “One of the greatest blessings is the unity of family, built on love and closeness… Ramadan Kareem to you and your loved ones,” she captioned the post.
The beautifully curated video began with a stunning aerial view of the Royal Palace before transitioning to warm moments from the gathering. King Abdullah was seen embracing and blessing the younger family members, while Queen Rania warmly welcomed extended relatives.
A particularly touching moment featured Crown Prince Hussein sharing a heartfelt embrace with his mother. Meanwhile, Princess Rajwa was seen engaging with family members, including her sister-in-law, Princess Iman, who welcomed her first child, Princess Amina, in February.
Princess Amina’s arrival comes just six months after Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa had their first child, also named Princess Iman, in honor of the Prince’s sister. During the gathering, Queen Rania was seen proudly sharing photos of her granddaughter with guests.
Following their daughter’s birth, Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa expressed their joy, saying, “We are overjoyed to begin this new chapter in our lives. Our family is growing, and we are excited to welcome our little one into the world.”
The name Iman holds deep significance in the Jordanian royal family. Meaning faith or belief in Arabic, the name is shared by Crown Prince Hussein’s sister, Princess Iman, as well as King Abdullah’s younger sister.
Despite being the firstborn child of the heir, Princess Iman is not in the line of succession, as Jordanian law currently permits only male heirs to inherit the throne.
