Princess Eugenie Shares Heartfelt Mother’s Day Gift From August And Ernest

Princess Eugenie embraced the Mother’s Day spirit by sharing a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

On Sunday, she posted a series of photos, offering a glimpse into her life as a proud mother to her two sons, August and Ernest, whom she shares with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Among the touching images, Eugenie could be seen sitting on the floor reading to her little ones.

Another snap featured a handmade card crafted by ‘Ernie’ and ‘Augie’, while a nostalgic black-and-white throwback of her mother, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, was also included.

“Happy Mother’s Day from this proud mama and daughter,” she captioned the post.

A Special Time of Year for Eugenie

The royal’s post was met with warm wishes from fans celebrating the occasion with her. March is an especially significant month for Eugenie, as she also celebrates her birthday on the 23rd.

Just a week prior, she marked the milestone with a rare, candid photo of herself and her sons enjoying an outdoor picnic. In the snapshot, Eugenie smiled at the camera while August and Ernest were seen eagerly tucking into their food at a rustic wooden table.

Motherhood’s Impact on Eugenie

As a devoted mother, Eugenie has spoken openly about how motherhood has shaped her outlook on life. Before welcoming Ernest in 2023, she shared with HELLO! that becoming a parent to August had fueled her desire to make a positive impact.

“Priorities change when you have children; you want to do everything you can for them – and for your grandchildren,” she explained. “August is still young, but I hope that what I’m doing will seep through to him and that one day he takes it on, too.”

Balancing Life Between the UK and Portugal

Currently, Eugenie and Jack split their time between the UK and Portugal, where Jack has work commitments. Despite frequent travel, Eugenie remains close to her mother and her sister, Princess Beatrice, who recently welcomed her second child with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Following the early arrival of Beatrice’s daughter, Athena, in January, Eugenie has been a source of support for her sister in London. She was also present for Beatrice’s first post-birth British Vogue photoshoot.

In a deeply personal essay for the magazine, Beatrice reflected on the “months of sheer worry” she faced during her pregnancy, highlighting the often-overlooked issue of women’s health. She shared that Athena was “so tiny it took more than a few weeks for the tears of relief to dry”, but reassured readers that her daughter is “doing really well” now.

Eugenie, ever the supportive sister, proudly shared images from the shoot, writing, “Proud of you, Beabea and mighty Athena.”
