The Prince and Princess of Wales made their way to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium to watch England take on Wales in their final Six Nations match.
Their well-known friendly rivalry was on full display, with William passionately supporting Wales while Kate, as patron of England Rugby, cheered on the Red Roses.
The stakes were high, as an England victory would put them in contention for the tournament title.
A Royal Love for Rugby
Although their children didn’t accompany them, the Wales family shares a love for the sport—especially Prince Louis.
In 2022, Kate revealed just how much her youngest enjoys rugby, saying, “They’re all enjoying it, but Louis is kamikaze! We’re worried about when he gets older—he’ll be in the middle of everything.”
Before the match, William and Kate met with severely injured players and their families in the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, a space they officially opened in 2023.
Notably, the Principality Stadium is among the major Welsh venues that stock Notpla packaging, an eco-friendly seaweed-based alternative to plastic. The company was awarded one of William’s prestigious Earthshot prizes in 2022.
