A Young Prince with a Royal Heritage

Prince Oscar, Duke of Skåne, was born on 2 March 2016 in Solna to Crown Princess Victoria, 47, and Prince Daniel, 51. His godparents include Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, and his maternal aunt, Princess Madeleine of Sweden.

Oscar is the younger brother of Princess Estelle, who was born on 23 February 2012. As the first female heir to benefit from Sweden’s updated succession laws, Estelle remains second in line to the throne after her mother, Crown Princess Victoria, ensuring she will one day become queen.

Victoria and Daniel’s Royal Love Story

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel first met in the mid-2000s during a training session at Daniel Westling’s fitness center. Their relationship blossomed, and they announced their engagement in February 2009. A year later, they tied the knot in a grand royal wedding in Stockholm, attended by dignitaries, family, and international royals, including Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie.

On her wedding day, Victoria stunned in a white satin gown by Pär Engsheden, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, a V-shaped back, and an elegant A-line skirt. To complete her bridal look, she wore the historic Cameo Tiara—previously worn by her mother, Queen Silvia, on her wedding day to King Carl XVI Gustaf in 1976.
