An OnlyFans model is facing a murder charge following the death of a man who paid her $11,000 for a BDSM session.
Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam, 31, allegedly recorded the encounter for her OnlyFans profile with 55-year-old Michael Dale at his home in Escodino, California. According to an affidavit obtained by The San Diego Union-Tribune, Rylaarsdam was hired to bind Dale using plastic wrap and duct tape, which ultimately led to his death by asphyxiation.
Despite having no prior experience with BDSM, Rylaarsdam told police that Dale requested to be wrapped like a mummy in Saran wrap, and to have a pair of women’s boots glued to his feet. Text messages revealed in the affidavit corroborated this claim.
Disturbing video from the encounter, dated April 17, 2023, reportedly shows Dale with duct tape over his mouth, cling wrap covering his head, and a plastic bag secured over his entire face. The affidavit claims he was suffocating on the floor while Rylaarsdam engaged in sexual acts nearby for the OnlyFans video she was filming on her phone.
The affidavit indicates that the plastic wrappings were left in place for approximately eight minutes, tightly binding Dale’s arms and legs and preventing him from removing the obstruction over his mouth and nose.
Video evidence shows Rylaarsdam, known by her performer name “Asshley Sincal,” realizing that something was seriously wrong and rushing to call 911. Law enforcement arrived to find her performing CPR on an unresponsive Dale, who was later declared brain dead at the hospital and taken off life support days later. A coroner’s report identified the official cause of death as lack of oxygen to the brain.
Rylaarsdam operates her OnlyFans account in partnership with her husband, Brandon. Her lawyer maintains that she was engaging in consensual sexual activities and did not foresee that Dale would die during the encounter.
Arrested last month, Rylaarsdam has been charged with second-degree murder, to which she has pleaded not guilty. She is currently awaiting trial in jail, being held without bond.
