The Niger State Police Command has detained a 19-year-old man named Awal Ahmadu for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old student in the Tafa Local Government Area.
According to intelligence sources shared with security analyst Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on Friday, March 7, 2025, at approximately 2:00 PM.
Ahmadu, a resident of New Bwari Village, is accused of assaulting a JSS III student (name withheld) from Government Day Secondary School New Bwari. The reported incident took place in a nearby bush during school hours.
Following the report, security personnel were dispatched to the location and apprehended Ahmadu, while the victim was taken to Umar Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Hospital in Sabon-Wuse for a medical examination.
