The Duchess of Sussex has shared a delightful glimpse into motherhood on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, revealing the special traditions she is passing on to her children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
In episode four, Meghan fondly recalled a childhood ritual that Archie has now adopted—making “sun tea.”
Speaking to her friend Delfina Blaquier, she reminisced: “As a kid, I would take a tea bag from the drawer, put it in a mason jar—or probably an empty spaghetti sauce jar—and leave it in the sun, watching it change color. Funny enough, Archie does the same thing now.”
Meanwhile, Lilibet has picked up another endearing habit from her mother—dancing when she enjoys her food.
During episode three, while cooking with chef Roy Choi, Meghan laughed as she swayed to the music, saying: “It’s good! My daughter does the same thing. When she likes something, she’s eating, she starts to sway a little bit.”
Archie and Lilibet also share their mother’s love for gardening. Meghan revealed that both children have their own set of mini gardening tools and that Lilibet enjoys helping her make homemade preserves.
One sweet moment featured Lilibet proudly displaying strawberries she had picked from their Montecito Garden. “She picked all the berries. She’s proud, and that part feels good,” Meghan shared.
While the Sussexes choose to keep their children out of the public eye, glimpses of their lives have appeared in Meghan’s recently relaunched Instagram. In recent clips, the little ones have been seen preparing a Valentine’s Day-themed breakfast and baking thumbprint cookies using Meghan’s homemade preserves.
Through these cherished family traditions, Meghan is ensuring that her children grow up with meaningful and heartfelt experiences, just as she did.
