A young girl from Tse Uzo, Zaki Biam, in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, has tragically passed away in Libya.

Reports indicate that she died on Monday, March 10, 2025.

A Libya-based Facebook user, Akuraga Joseph, was alerted about her critical condition and rushed to assist her. However, before he could take further action, he was informed that the Nigerian Union was also on the way to see her.

Unfortunately, upon his return, he found that she had already passed away. Medical reports confirmed that kidney failure was the cause of her death.

Sharing the heartbreaking news on Facebook, Joseph wrote:
*”This girl passed away early today in Libya. She’s from Tse Uzo, Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area. Her father’s name is Uba from Tse Uzo.

Someone contacted me yesterday, informing me that a Tiv girl was critically ill. When I arrived, I found her in a terrible state—her stomach was swollen, and her eyes were extremely yellowish.

I planned to take her home, but I was told the Nigerian Union was also coming to check on her. So I left briefly. When I returned around 10 a.m. today, I found her dead.

The medical test results indicated kidney failure. Please, if anyone knows her family, kindly reach out to me.”*

Joseph is now seeking help in locating the girl’s relatives so that they can be informed of her passing.
