Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg marked a special family milestone on Wednesday, sharing a heartfelt tribute to her grandson, Prince Gabriel, in honor of his 19th birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the wife of Grand Duke Henri posted a charming photo of herself with Gabriel, posing beneath a stone archway adorned with climbing shrubs and potted plants.
Gabriel, who was born on 12 March 2006, towered over his grandmother in a stylish navy linen shirt and cornflower blue shorts. Meanwhile, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, 68, looked radiant in a flowing patterned wrap dress in shades of pink, blue, and tangerine.
She completed her summery ensemble with chic espadrille wedges and gold tassel drop earrings. In the photo, she beamed warmly at her grandson, resting one hand on his shoulder and the other on his crossed arms.
The caption read: “Très bel anniversaire à notre cher Gabriel,” which translates to “Wishing our dear Gabriel a very happy birthday.”

Royal fans quickly flooded the comments with well-wishes, with messages such as “Beautiful,” “Happy birthday to Prince Gabriel,” and “Happy birthday.”
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Grand Duke Henri have five children and eight grandchildren. Their third child, Prince Louis, shares two sons—Prince Gabriel and 17-year-old Prince Noah—with his former wife, Tessy Antony de Nassau.
