Lawyer Accidentally Plays Nude Clip In Court During Ex-Colombian President’s Bribery Trial

A shocking incident unfolded during the bribery trial of former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe when prosecutors accidentally played inappropriate footage, including a clip of a nude woman, in the courtroom.

Prosecutor Marlene Orjuela first mistakenly showcased a video of a person of short stature dancing with a bottle of liquor, followed by an AI-enhanced clip of a naked woman from an explicit site.

Her blunder elicited laughter from the judge as she quickly apologized for the mix-up, explaining that she intended to present recorded telephone conversations relevant to Uribe’s case.

“Your Honor, my apologies. We wanted to show everything that [Diego Cadena] had sent, but we didn’t anticipate this mix-up,” Orjuela said with a chuckle.

Her colleague, Luz Mireya Lopez, added, “We have 57 files consisting of videos and audio recordings,” just as the second explicit clip began to play. As laughter erupted from the victims’ lawyers and the judge, Orjuela attempted to maintain her composure.

“My apologies, Your Honor, but, well… it’s just that…” she said, while Uribe, 72, who is facing charges of witness bribery and procedural fraud, remained expressionless during the unexpected display in court on Friday, March 7.

The prosecutor’s original plan was to present audio recordings of conversations between lawyers Juan Jose Salazar and Diego Cadena, taken from Salazar’s cell phone. Both Salazar and Cadena are implicated in Uribe’s trial.

Uribe, who served as Colombia’s President from 2002 to 2010, could face up to 12 years in prison for bribery and an additional eight years for procedural fraud if found guilty. Under Colombian law, sentences can be served concurrently. Uribe denies all charges against him, according to reports from NeedToKnow.
