Twins Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer share an incredibly close bond, but it was only recently that they discovered they are identical twins.
In an exclusive interview, the Spencer sisters reflected on the deep connection they’ve had since their birth nearly 33 years ago to Earl Spencer, brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, and their mother, former model Victoria Aitken.
“We’ve always had a unique understanding of one another. We often know exactly what the other is thinking,” Amelia shared. “There have been countless moments when we can sense what the other is feeling without even speaking.”
Recently, they took a DNA test and learned they are identical twins. “It felt like a piece of the puzzle fell into place – there’s an even deeper sense of closeness now that we know we share this stronger genetic bond.”
Their connection is evident when you spend time with the twins, who frequently finish each other’s sentences.
The sisters also have an older sibling, Lady Kitty Spencer, and a younger brother, Louis, Viscount Althorp, as well as half-siblings Ned, Lady Lara, and Lady Charlotte.
Amelia married fitness freelancer and wellness ambassador Greg Mallett at Quoin Rock wine estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa, two years ago, while Eliza has been with her partner, Channing Millerd, for nine years. “Marriage is definitely something we’ve discussed,” Eliza noted.
Interestingly, Greg, 35, and Channing, 33, attended school together. “Channing is one of my closest friends. We played a lot of the same sports, like rugby and water polo, and naturally shared many common interests,” Greg explained.
In a light-hearted tone, he added, “More importantly, we share the same values – loyalty, ambition, integrity, and a strong sense of family – which has kept our bond strong over the years.”
When speaking about introducing his sister-in-law Eliza to Channing, Greg expressed his confidence in their compatibility. “I had a strong feeling they’d be a perfect match. They possess so many of the same character traits – loyalty, honesty, kindness, and a strong sense of family. From the moment they met, it was clear they clicked. It’s been wonderful to witness their relationship develop, and I couldn’t be happier for both of them.”
