Khloé Kardashian has revealed that she is “still” in therapy over an unsettling childhood memory involving her mother, Kris Jenner, and stepfather, Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn Jenner).
During an episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, the reality star confronted Kris about an incident where she accidentally overheard the couple being intimate. Khloé, 40, recalled playing hide-and-seek as a child, falling asleep under the bed, and waking up to a “gross” situation.
Kris, 69, seemed skeptical, questioning, “You were with [your friend] Francesca, so who were you looking for? Each other? … You snuck into my bedroom.” She suggested that Khloé and her friend deliberately stayed hidden out of curiosity and ended up overhearing more than they bargained for.
“You didn’t get caught, and you decided to stay there because it sounded exciting, and you got an earful,” Kris added. “And you being tortured for the rest of your life is exactly what you deserve.”
Khloé agreed that the memory has stuck with her, saying, “No, [those sounds] won’t [ever leave my mind].” She recalled that when she and her friend started giggling, they ran out of the room, while Kris and Bruce took time to process the awkward situation.
Kris admitted they were likely coming up with a “game plan” for how to address it, jokingly referring to the intimate moment as an “Olympic competition” or “wrestling match.”
Khloé responded, “No, I knew what was happening. … Gross. I can’t even think about this anymore.”
Kris and Caitlyn were married from 1991 until 2014 and share daughters Kendall, 29, and Kylie, 27. Both also have children from previous relationships, with Kris co-parenting Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian with her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian.
