Authorities in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, Kenya, are investigating the tragic murder of a 32-year-old woman, who is believed to have been attacked and killed by her ex-husband.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, that the suspect, Alex Kimeli Ng’elel, was reportedly enraged by his ex-wife’s decision to move on with another man.
According to the DCI statement, the horrific incident was reported by Saos area Chief Ms. Judith Chebon, who discovered the woman’s lifeless body outside her current boyfriend’s rented home, showing significant head injuries.
Witnesses in the neighborhood condemned the event, noting that they had last seen the victim heading towards her boyfriend’s residence shortly after 8 PM. Her body was found at around 9 PM, soaked in blood in the compound.
Detectives from DCI Koibatek have launched an investigation, and the primary suspect, Alex Kimeli Ng’elel, has reportedly gone into hiding but is currently being sought by authorities.
