Princess Kate’s brother, James Middleton, melted hearts on Mother’s Day with a touching new photo of his wife, Alizée Thevenet, and their baby boy, Inigo.
A Heartwarming Mother’s Day Tribute
Taking to Instagram, James, 37, posted a sweet snapshot of Alizée cradling their little one, capturing a tender family moment.
Dressed in a vibrant coral cable-knit jumper and light-wash jeans, Alizée looked effortlessly radiant, her golden blonde locks flowing in sleek waves as she gazed lovingly at their son.
Baby Inigo, who has inherited his mother’s fair hair, looked utterly adorable in a chocolate-brown Fair Isle sweater adorned with tractor motifs, paired with baby blue corduroy trousers and tiny velcro shoes.
Sharing his appreciation for Alizée on her first Mother’s Day, James wrote: “Happy Mother’s [Day] to all the amazing mothers but an extra bit of love for this one.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments with affectionate messages, with one writing, “Aw, Inigo has grown so much! Happy Mother’s Day to Alizée, Catherine, Carole, Pippa, and everyone else celebrating today.” Another admirer gushed, “You should frame that photo—it’s so lovely and full of emotion.”
A Growing Family
James and Alizée welcomed Inigo in September 2023, two years after their wedding. Reflecting on fatherhood at the time, James shared, “He has been in our lives for just a few weeks, but they have been the most special of my life—getting to know our beautiful baby boy.”
He also admitted he wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming emotions of meeting his son for the first time, saying, “No matter how prepared I thought I was…I was not prepared for the love I would feel for Alizée as we became three.”
Their son’s full name, Inigo Gabriel Middleton, includes a touching tribute to Alizée’s late father. In his memoir, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life, James explained, “Gabriel is in memory of his grandfather, Alizée’s papa. It is a small tribute, and we look forward to sharing lots of stories about his French grandad too.”
Looking Ahead
In a recent interview, James opened up about expanding their family, sharing his hopes for more children in the future.
“If we’re fortunate enough, we would love to,” he revealed, before joking about whether their next addition would have two or four feet—hinting at his plans to adopt another rescue dog for their growing household.
