Indian Teen Breaks Guinness World Record For Hairiest Face

An 18-year-old from India has made history by earning the Guinness World Record for the hairiest face on a man.

Lalit Patidar, from Madhya Pradesh, has over 95% of his face covered in hair due to a rare condition called hypertrichosis, also known as “werewolf syndrome”.

Despite facing stares and curiosity from classmates as a child, Lalit told Guinness World Records that he has embraced his uniqueness. He now shares glimpses of his daily life on his YouTube channel.

Recently, Lalit traveled to Milan for Lo Show dei Record, where his record was officially recognized.

A Rare Condition

According to Guinness World Records, Lalit is one of only around 50 documented cases of hypertrichosis worldwide since the Middle Ages, making him “one in a billion”.

Reflecting on his experiences, Lalit said: “It’s very rare that people treat me badly. Most people are kind. The first day of school was difficult because the other kids were scared of me, but once they got to know me, they realized I’m not so different from them.”

After receiving his Guinness title, he expressed his joy: “I am speechless. I don’t know what to say because I am very happy to get this recognition.”

Embracing His Identity

While some have urged him to remove his facial hair, Lalit remains confident in his appearance.

“I like how I am, and I don’t want to change my look,” he said.
