Christopher Crisona, a past contestant on Family Feud during Steve Harvey’s debut season as host, has been arrested and faces multiple felony charges related to child s*xual abuse.
Crisona and Father John Taggart were taken into custody following allegations of abuse at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Wilmington, Delaware.
According to the Delaware Attorney General’s Office, Crisona worked as a teacher at the school for a year and a half in the mid-1990s before being dismissed after a student filed a complaint. The alleged victim, who was in seventh and eighth grade at the time, was reportedly abused by both Crisona, now 57, and Taggart, now 80.
Currently employed as an elementary school teacher in Florida, Crisona has been charged with multiple offenses, including unlawful s*xual contact, unlawful s*xual intercourse, unlawful s*xual penetration, and continuous s*xual abuse of a child.
Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings described the case as deeply troubling but emphasized the state’s commitment to seeking justice. She stated that the indictment details a “pattern of gravely serious abuse against a juvenile by two adults in a position of trust” and commended law enforcement for their efforts in the investigation.
Crisona previously appeared on Family Feud in 2010 with his family, reaching the “Fast Money” round but falling short of winning the $20,000 grand prize.
Attempts to contact those close to Crisona for comment have been unsuccessful.
