Elon Musk Voiced Support For U.S. Exit From NATO And The UN

Elon Musk has voiced support for the United States withdrawing from both the United Nations and NATO.

The billionaire tech mogul made his stance clear in a post on X (formerly Twitter) after resharing a message from political commentator Gunther Eagleman, who wrote on March 1: “It’s time to leave NATO and the UN.” Musk, who leads Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), simply responded, “I agree.”

Additionally, Musk reshared a post by Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who called NATO “a Cold War relic that needs to be relegated to a talking kiosk at the Smithsonian.”

Musk’s comments align with calls from several Republican lawmakers urging the U.S. to reconsider its NATO membership. Utah Senator Mike Lee, a longtime critic of the alliance, has described NATO as a “Cold War relic,” arguing that it benefits Europe while being a “raw deal for America.”
