Eleven-Year-Old Boy Stabbed By Classmate At Dublin Primary School

An eleven-year-old pupil was stabbed by another student at a primary school in Dublin, Ireland. The incident occurred this morning, March 4, and the victim was promptly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities from north Dublin confirmed that both children are students at the same school. Although an object was used in the stabbing, details about the implement have not been disclosed.

Police are currently in communication with the parents of both children involved. The school, which has not yet been named, has been temporarily closed while an investigation is underway.

In a statement, An Garda Siochana said, “We are working closely with the school management and staff to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. We will also continue our cooperation with all relevant state agencies regarding this matter. There are currently no concerns for public safety.”
