Princess Eugenie celebrated her birthday in a heartwarming fashion as her mother, Sarah Ferguson, took to Instagram to honor her beloved daughter with a heartfelt tribute and a magnificent birthday cake.
Accompanying a selection of nostalgic and recent photos, Sarah reminded royal fans just how cherished Eugenie is within their family. Among the collection was an incredibly sweet throwback image of a young Eugenie holding hands with Sarah and her older sister, Princess Beatrice. Dressed in matching outfits and beaming with joy, the photograph captured a carefree childhood moment that delighted fans.
Alongside the vintage picture, Sarah shared a more recent snapshot of Eugenie radiating her signature warmth, as well as a fabulous birthday cake adorned with the playful nickname “Eugie Boogie” written in icing.
In her touching caption, Sarah wrote: “Wishing a wonderful birthday to my beloved daughter, @princesseugenie! It has been a joy to watch you grow into such an extraordinary person, full of kindness, wisdom, and strength. Your generosity and warmth brighten the lives of so many, and I am endlessly proud of all that you do. With all my love on your special day. X.”
The Duchess of York also treated her followers to a series of photos on her Instagram Stories, offering even more glimpses into Eugenie’s life throughout the years, from her playful childhood to her graceful adulthood.
Fans quickly filled the post with well-wishes, with one commenting, “The pictures are beautiful and showcase the bond between mother and daughter! Happy birthday, dear Princess Eugenie!!!” and another adding, “It’s been a pleasure knowing you and watching you grow almost all of your life. Have a fabulous day.”
Eugenie, who shares sons August and Ernest with her husband Jack Brooksbank, is currently balancing family life between London and Portugal. The family often enjoys a quieter lifestyle abroad while Jack focuses on his business ventures, though they frequently return to the UK to stay at their London residence, Ivy Cottage, located on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Speaking previously on the Table Manners podcast, Eugenie expressed her appreciation for the relaxed nature of their life in Portugal. “This is why Portugal is the dream because I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear with my hair piled up and not care. No one cares.”
Her easygoing attitude and strong family ties continue to endear her to fans, along with her dedication as an advocate for environmental issues and anti-slavery initiatives. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! ahead of Ernest’s arrival, Eugenie reflected on how motherhood has changed her. “Since August came into my life, it has positively impacted my desire to do more. Priorities shift when you have children; you want to do everything you can for them – and for your grandchildren. August is still young, but I hope that what I’m doing will resonate with him and that one day he carries it on, too.”
