A 4-year-old boy in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, dialed 911 to report his mother after she ate his ice cream, prompting an unexpected police response.
The call, made on Tuesday, March 4, had the child telling a Racine County dispatcher, “My mom is being bad. Come and get my mommy.”
As the dispatcher tried to understand the situation, the boy’s mother discovered what was happening and took the phone. She then explained the reason behind her son’s complaint: “I ate his ice cream, so that’s probably why he’s calling 911,” she said, as her son could still be heard protesting in the background.
Following the call, Mount Pleasant police officers visited the home, where the boy admitted he was still upset about losing his ice cream but no longer wanted his mother arrested.
The next day, officers returned with a sweet surprise—bringing ice cream for the child. A photo shared by the village police department captured the heartwarming moment, showing the officers standing with the boy as he held two cups of ice cream topped with blue sprinkles.
