The 30-year-old model said “yes” to NBA player Kyle Kuzma on February 13, and the couple announced the happy news on Instagram on February 18.
The post featured a series of photos showing the couple posing on a plane, with Harlow proudly displaying her sparkling engagement ring. The pair shared the story of the intimate proposal with Vogue, revealing they had set off on a planned vacation to the Turks and Caicos. Kuzma chartered a private plane for the occasion, decorating it with red roses, balloons, chocolates, and champagne.
Harlow initially thought the romantic setup was just for Valentine’s Day, but Kuzma had more planned. Once aboard the plane, he asked Harlow to sit with him and began reading a poem he had written. “For a split second, I thought, ‘This would be so cute if this was an engagement,’” Harlow told Vogue, though she didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
Her instincts were confirmed when Kuzma closed the poem with, “Will you marry me?” and presented her with an 8.5-carat, oval-cut diamond ring, which he had spent three months designing. “I didn’t ask her what kind of ring she liked,” Kuzma told Vogue. “I wanted something elegant, timeless, and simplistic—just like her.”
When the couple arrived at their villa, Harlow discovered both of their families waiting to celebrate. The night ended with an elegant beachside dinner and a fireworks show.
Harlow shared that the couple is “over the moon” as they prepare for their wedding.
The pair first connected online during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Harlow revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Kuzma had tried messaging her on Instagram in 2019, but she missed it. When they eventually began talking, the connection was immediate.
After months of constant communication, Harlow relocated from New York City to Los Angeles to be with Kuzma, who was playing for the L.A. Lakers at the time. Their love story has now culminated in an engagement filled with romance and family celebration.
