Update: Elon Musk To Discuss ‘DOGE Dividend’ Proposal With Trump That Could Give Taxpayers $5,000 Each

Elon Musk has agreed to review a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Dividend proposal, which would send tax refunds as checks to all American taxpayers.

The DOGE leader made the commitment after responding to the proposal by Janes Fishback, Chief Executive of Invest Azoria, on his X account on Tuesday, February 18.

Replying to Fishback’s three-page DOGE Dividend proposal, Musk wrote: “I will check with the President.”

Fishback’s proposal suggests that 20% of the savings from DOGE initiatives be distributed to taxpayers as a tax refund. The remaining 80% of savings from cost-cutting measures across federal agencies would go toward reducing the national debt.

“Our proposal for President Trump’s DOGE Dividend would be capped at 20% of DOGE’s total savings, with the other 80% used to pay down the national debt,” Fishback wrote on X, responding to US Senator Ron Johnson’s acceptance of the plan.

If approved by President Donald Trump, the proposal would see each US taxpayer receive at least $5,000 through the DOGE Dividend.
