On February 15, judges at Caglayan Court decided to place Taskin under house arrest while investigating her phone and social media accounts.
In her posts after the arrest, Taskin described her experience of spending the night in a detention cell with local sex workers, expressing shock at the situation.
Previously, she had been sentenced to five months in prison in 2021 for posting explicit photos from a holiday in Amsterdam.
Her arrest has sparked public backlash, and she now faces legal scrutiny over her online actions.
