A man was assaulted and stabbed with a broken beer bottle during a dispute with his girlfriend in South Africa.
The incident occurred on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Area 1, Mhlasini – KwaZulu-Natal.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officers responded to the scene around 11:14 a.m. Upon arrival, they spoke with the injured man, who explained that his girlfriend had not returned home on Saturday night.
When she arrived the next morning, he confronted her about her whereabouts, leading to a heated argument.
During the altercation, the woman allegedly grabbed a beer bottle and attacked him. The bottle shattered in the process, and she then used the broken glass to stab him in the shoulder and arm before fleeing the scene.
The injured man declined to press charges and opted to seek medical treatment privately.
