A Brazilian woman suffered second- and third-degree burns after her Motorola Moto E32 phone exploded in her back pocket, igniting her dress.
The incident occurred on Saturday while the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was shopping with her husband in the city of Anápolis.
CCTV footage captured the terrifying scene as she casually walked down a supermarket aisle before her pants suddenly burst into flames. She frantically tried to remove the burning phone from her pocket.
She was rushed to Alfredo Abraão Hospital, where she received treatment for first- and second-degree burns on her hand, forearm, back, and buttocks. Her hair was also partially burned, and she is expected to return for further treatment.
Her husband, Mateus Lima, told local media that she is traumatized by the incident.
