Sarah Ferguson recently shared a glimpse of her trip to New York following reports that her daughter, Princess Eugenie, was drawn into her ex-husband Prince Andrew’s ongoing spy scandal.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, the Duchess of York posted a photo of herself capturing the Empire State Building against a brilliant blue sky. For the outing, Sarah looked effortlessly chic in a forest-green blouse, wearing her auburn hair loose with the front sections pinned back.

Although the purpose of Sarah’s trip is unknown, she previously visited New York in September 2024 during Climate Week, where she collaborated with Sabrina Elba on discussions for Global Citizen NOW Health & Climate Financing Sessions. She also supported her elder daughter, Princess Beatrice, at the launch of her Youth Impact Council organization.

Sarah’s visit comes after reports surfaced that Princess Eugenie had attended a networking event in Tokyo on behalf of her father as part of a business deal. A video published by The Telegraph showed Eugenie on stage at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo in November 2024 during a work trip for Hauser & Wirth, the international art gallery where she has worked since 2015.

Andrew stepped back from public duties in 2019

The event was reportedly attended by 1,000 Japanese businessmen, and The Telegraph claims that Prince Andrew had brokered a commercial partnership with a Dutch company through a new business venture, Innovate Global. This venture was allegedly conceived with Yang Tengbo, a figure from Andrew’s Pitch@Palace initiative.

Yang Tengbo, who has denied any espionage involvement, was previously banned from the UK and described as a “close” confidant of Andrew. He had been a founding partner of Pitch@Palace’s Chinese arm and had visited several royal residences at the Duke’s invitation.

The Tokyo event, which Eugenie reportedly attended, was allegedly organized by Innovate Global in collaboration with Startupbootcamp (SBC), a Dutch company that funds start-ups globally.
